I received a message about Angels...
I was asked who started the "stuff"
about Angels having wings and that I should learn my heritage.
I was a little disturbed at the way the message was stated,
so this is my answer:

My belief is:

Angels are messengers from God. They are celestial beings.
They do sit in heaven as well as walk the earth,
though they are not omnipresent,
meaning they can't be in both places at the same time as God can,
they do go back and forth between heaven and earth.
We are not to worship Angels,
but they are here to help us and guide us.
I don't worship them I Love them as God's creation.
I am not a bible scholar but I am a Christian,
a follower of Christ Jesus.

The Angels praise God as we as Christians do.
Angels are mentioned in the Bible about 300 times.
I am also reading a book called "Angels"
written by Rev. Billy Graham, he states in his book that:
"Angels do exist in heaven and on earth".
The Bible states that "Angels, like men, were created by God."

Billy Graham also states in his book and confirmed by the bible
that there are ten orders of Angels, they are: ArchAngels, Angels,
Seraphim, Cherubim, Principalities, Authorities, Powers, Thrones,
Might, and Dominion.  Romans 8:38  
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life,
nor Angels, nor Principalities, nor Powers,
nor things present, nor things to come,"

Colossians 1:16"For by him were all things created,
that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible,
whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:
all things were created by Him, and for Him:"

I am not going to argue the point,
I believe that there are Angels.
I believe they exist because I believe the Word of God, the Bible.

Also I was asked where the "stuff"
came from about Angels having wings and halos.
Again I will print excerpts from the book "Angels",
it also includes scripture references:

"The word seraphim may come from the Hebrew root meaning "Love"
(though some think the word means "burning ones" or "nobles")
We find the seraphim only in Isaiah 6:1-6.
It is an awe-inspiring sight as the worshiping prophet
beholds the six-winged seraphim above the throne of the Lord."
"The scriptures do not, however, support the common belief
that ALL Angels have wings.
The traditional concept of Angels with wings
is drawn from their ability to move instantaneously
and with unlimited speed from place to place,
and wings were thought to permit limitless movement. "
" Cherubim- are real and they are powerful.
At God's direction they were incorporated
into the design of the Ark of the Covenant and the Tabernacle.

Soloman's temple utilized them in its decoration
(Zondervan Pictorial Encyclopedia)
They had wings, feet, and hands.
Ezekiel 10 pictures the cherubim in detail
as having not only wings and hands, but being "full of eyes",
encompassed by "wheels within wheels".Read Ezekiel 10:1-5
Other parts describing Angels mention a glowing or burning around them"
thus a halo, such as the sun? Perhaps?
"The Angel who rolled away the stone from the tomb of Jesus
was not only dressed in white,
but shone as a flash of lightning with dazzling brilliance"Matthew 28:30

"Daniel 10:6 and Rev 10:1,
Daniel and John describe the glories of the Angels
visibly descending from heaven
with immeasurable beauty and brilliance,
shining like the sun."

I do believe in Angels,
I don't worship them I worship God, my Father in Heaven.
I believe that Christ Jesus is the Son of God,
the Holy Trinity, God the Father,
God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

The Angels that I place on my pages are art,
but they are art that I believe God gave the artist.
I feel the peace that they bring me
and I hope that they will bring others peace also..
I also hope that my Angels will put a burning desire
into the hearts of the people that visit my pages,
a desire to learn more about Our Father, God..
God created all things in heaven and on earth.
I want my pages to be here for comfort for those that are hurting...
Like I said before I am not a Bible scholar, I am merely a Christian,
and the word I believe is the Word of God.
