Do you ever stop to wonder
Just why God gave mother's tears,
Was it because He knew the pain,
We'd suffer through the years?

The pain of bearing children,
Tho forgotten with the joy,
The happiness you feel,
With that little girl or boy

There is no greater pain on earth,
Calling for the tears,
Then to lose your lifelong mate,
Who has loved you all these years.

The safety of our children,
Becomes our greatest fears.
So That must be the reason,
God gave a mother tears.
