Valley of Despair
Down in the valley of deep despair,
I find myself wandering about.
The sting of death could not compair.
To the pain of feeling "shut out".
My soul is a-tremble and sore afraid,
As my heart does long for His Grace.
It is a long road, for myself I have made,
Til again I may see my Lords face.
Will He ever forgive me, and draw me near.
After all of the things I have said?
Or will I forever walk in fear,
Of each lonely mile I tread.
So as I grope to find my way,
My God in His wisdom forgive.
I long once again to have in my heart,
The faith only He can give.
