Man! How very small and insignificant
against the tragedy and confusion
of this world today.
One need not even open
their doors to let disaster in
because modern technology has
found the way to bring it in.
Through telephone, radio, and television,
the great discoveries of our time.
The pain of loss, the tension of fear,
the grief of dispair is only too real.
Only too close!
The Hell of war with lost sons,
husbands, wives, brothers and daughters.
"When will it end?"
The cries of the times are "hate", "destroy"!
take what you want,
by force if necessary!"
And what of the children?
Trampled by the stampede of selfishness.
Pulled apart by a tug of war of parents
blinded to the sorrow and pain
in their children's eyes.
Or yet, the children neglected, abused,
the target of more adults anger.
Then there are the few-the faithful,
who look to God,
for the salvation of a world gone mad.
The devoted who continue to believe
that when God said to
"turn back to Him and He would heal their land".
These are the ones who hold the world together.
These are the ones who give hope to the hopeless,
and strength to the weary.
God's Army, marching against the world's promise
of defete, only to overcome as in the days of old.
As the walls of Jerico fell,
so will fall the evil forces of this world
and those who have tried to drive out
the freedom of worship and destroy the faith
of those dedicated to making this a world of love
and peace and safety for our gererations to come.
