Oh Child! Why are you crying?
Don't you know that God is near?
Don't you know if you will ask Him,
He will dry away your tears?

Oh Child! Stop your crying
For Jesus knows your grief.
And if you'll only trust Him,
He will bring you glad relief.

Now Child! Don't you feel better?
Since your troubles, Jesus bore?
Don't your life seem so much brighter,
Then it ever did before?

Now Child! always remember,
You need never feel dispair;
For whatever trouble comes to you,
Jesus Christ will meet you there.
