Nine Is Fine
by Shari (Mother's Day 2001)
Diana was the first-born
Big sister to us all
Ready to do anything
If one of us should call
Freddie, he was second
Home delivery.....Wow!
We miss him very much because
He's in Heaven now
Sandy, she was third to come
Quiet in her ways
She has dark hair like Daddy
She brightens up the days
The fourth was me, I'm Shari
A tom-boy from the start
Balls and bats instead of dolls
I'm blonde but I'm still smart
Fifth in line was Davey
He loves to Rock and Roll
Me, I taught him how to dance
And man! Can that boy go!
In sixth place we have Ricky
A cute and dimpled smile
Very quiet spoken
Til you know him for awhile
The seventh child is Dennie
A kind and gentle man
Always there when needed
To lend a helping hand
The eighth child born of you and Dad
Was a son that you named Tom
A voice as pure as Heaven
But you didn't stop there, Mom....
One last baby's cry you heard
And with God's help..Devine
You adopted Christopher
And Chris....is number nine
Nine is fine..a phrase I know
I heard somebody say
I guess there must be truth in it
Have A Happy Mother's Day!
