Dedicated to My Grandson
Patrick A. Stack
My Hero

A little red-haired baby boy,
Lying on grandma's lap.
Grandma sings a lullaby,
As baby takes a nap.

Soon that little baby,
Is a fiesty little boy.
Too big for grandma's lap,
And too old for little toys.

Before you really know it,
He's graduating school...
What now? is the big question,
Be a man, or be a fool...

Well,that boy,now a man,
Chose the Army as his life,
And now he faces danger
For this world is full of strife.

He went at first to Korea,
Spent a year in training there
For the battle now raging
Would bring untold death and fear.

Then one day the dreaded fears
Our soldier's orders came...
He and thousands more to go
We all grieved the same.

IRAQ: Saddam and Ben Laden
The two most wanted men,
So they will be our Hero's
Till they capture all of them.

Now my little redhead boy,
Went again to IRAQ and war.
So he'll always be MY HERO
Even when the wars no more.

Dedicated to my
grandson,
Ranger Patrick A. (Tony) Stack
