I am a Life Survivor
I have been a survivor since the age of five
I have
survived orphanage homes four times
two foster homes and
being back and forth in my mother's home.
I married at age 16 and raised eight children.
Lost my husband of 31 years in 1975, one week before his
50th
birthday and four days after my 48th birthday.
I remarried twice and divorced alcoholic, abusive husbands both
times.
One was an ex-con who I met while being in a prison
ministry.
Beleive me, people, you can't change them! I tried.
At age 57, I fought in court for 3 1/2 years
to obtain custody
of a neglected, starving baby boy, 8 months old.
After succeeding, I took the baby and went back to Ohio from Arkansas.
When he was nine years old I adopted him.
He is now 23 years old and a blessing to me.
Yes, I am a survivor..!
Grief is no stranger to me.
I just count my losses and wait my turn.
