You're a sly ole devil
But you're too blind to see,
That greater is the one,
Who lives inside of me. You may throw your fiery darts,
But I'm safe behind God's shield.
And I have a two edged sword,
Which I will boldly wield. You stand on shaky ground, Slewfoot,
While I'm standing on the Rock.
For I opened wide the door to Him
When I heard His gentle knock. You may come at me with fear and doubt,
With worldly trials or pain.
But when the final test has come
You will find it was all in vain. There may be times when I stumble.
When you've given me your all.
But greater is the one inside of me,
So, it is you who will take the fall.
