EDUCATION - LIFE'S LIGHT

 

 

New doors swing open now for me
Life's light shines in for me to see.
When all sounds empty, dark and dead;
There springs new hope for me ahead.

-

Education's golden key,
I clasp with love for all to see.
For, even older ones like I
Can soar to heights beyond the sky.

Faith the size of a mustard seed
To start, is all you really need.
There is always someone standing by,
To help if only you will try.

I have found this out to be quite true,
The final answer is up to you.
You may die behind self-pity's door,
Or step into life's light once more.

I quit school at age 16
Did not finish 9th grade.
At age 44, I entered a technical
college for business training.

At age 49, I went for a refresher course
in secretarial training.
At age 71, currently, I am learning
the computer on my own.

Education does not stop ....
it is a continuing walk with life.
No one is ever too old to learn!
