Patient and loving, we should be,
Spreading happiness, life's golden key.
Forever and kind to all we meet,
Gentle and quiet when we speak.
How can we ever hope to gain,
Heaven's entrance, if we're so vain?
When all we feel is earthly desires,
No thought of what comes when life expires?
What profit a man to gain the world,
When his soul in the fires of Hell is hurled?
So seek ye first the Kingdom of God.
Not storing up treasures upon this sod.
For God, in all His wisdom knew,
From the very beginning, what was best for you.
Who are we to question Him,
Creator of all mortal men?
We are but lowly peasants still,
Living only by His will.
With contrite spirit and repenting heart,
You will find you can have a glorious New Start.
The joy you now feel, is God's promised New Birth,
A blessing far richer, then any on earth.
