ANGELS

I thought I felt an angel
By my side today.
As I sat in my grief,
And tried, in faith, to pray

It seemed I felt a gentle touch
Wipe a teardrop from my eye.
A still small voice whispered low,
"Peace be still, no need to cry.

For I'm here to bring you solace,
God has sent me here for you.
To bring you peace and comfort
And He sends His own love too.

For He knows the grief you're feeling,
At the loss of your dear ones.
For He felt the same loss too
When He lost His own dear Son.

Now, your dear ones are in Heaven,
No more suffering, no more pain.
And the day will soon be coming,
When you're with them all again."

Then I felt the slightest wisp of breeze,
As from the angels wing.
Peace, I felt with-in my soul,
His peace, that angels bring.
