I'll Stand

You're a sly ole devil,
but you're too blind to see,
That greater is the one who lives inside of me.
You may throw you're firey darts,
but I'm safe behind God's shield.
And I have a two-edged sword,
which I will boldly wield.

You stand on shaky ground Slewfoot,
while I'm standing on the Rock.
For I opened wide the door to Him,
when I heard His gentle knock.
You may come at me with fear and doubt,
with worldly trials and pain,
But when the final test has come,
you will find it was all in vain.

There may be times when I will stumble,
When you've given me your all,
But my Lord is right beside me,
and He will never let me fall..
